At its heart is the story of Bai Xin, a young man from the Western Regions whose passionate quest for art leads him to the secrets within Dunhuang's musical murals. The experience unfolds across a revolutionary four-zone stage, each offering a different sensory chapter.

The theater itself is a masterpiece, designed as an imaginative extension of Mogao's real caves. Here, you can step inside a meticulously recreated world of manuscript-filled caves, Buddha-statue alcoves, lotus platforms and dancing figures from the frescoes, and become part of the timeless story of Dunhuang.
