Dunhuang Railway Station is connected to the national high-speed rail network and directly connects to the provincial capital, Lanzhou, where visitors can easily transfer to other major cities via rail and flights.

Regular bus services operate from nearby cities, such as Jiayuguan and Zhangye. This option is best for travelers already touring the Hexi Corridor.
